{Five} ~ Try Something New.

My love for photography started with a simple digital point and shoot camera.  I played around with its features and made fun compositions.  When my parents realized my interest in it, they bought me a DSLR.  This had so many more features I could play with to learn how to make greater, more intentionally constructed compositions.  After that, I got an even better camera, and learned about color theory and perfecting lighting, and much more.  Now I am coming to a point when I am actually realizing my photographic style and learning which equipment best suits my look.  Film might be just that.  So here I stand now, going backwards into the world of film.  I played around on this summer day with light and shadow, and vintage spots in my cozy Breckenridge home.  Getting the results was nothing less than exhilarating.  The look of film is so unique.  I can already feel my excitement for photography rekindling as if I am once again getting my very first point and shoot camera.
