Oh, you haven’t been to a fake wedding before? I would jump on that if I were you. The Big Fake Wedding is a bridal show staged in the form of an actual wedding. I had never heard of it before this year and in all honesty I had long ago been scared out of that annual Bridal Show obligation wedding professionals feel we must fulfill. However, I am a solid fan of anything that has a creative twist, so I obliged and became a vendor in this year’s Big Fake Wedding (Denver). Never once in my career have I been so pleased with a business decision. The vendors I met, the Big Fake Wedding staff, and the guests all came with a warm welcoming sense of respect and overall interest in each others professions. Even so, the reason I hold this event in high regard is because it pushes wedding professionals to practice letting their personalities shine. Guests get to watch vendors work in their personal unique way. It is truly genius, because we are all creative souls in the wedding industry and showing that beauty is the key to meeting others alike and showing everything we have to offer in our businesses. If you are an engaged couple I highly recommend visiting the vendors’ sites listed below and attending a Big Fake Wedding in 2016 (or 2015, if there is still time!) … thank you to all who made the night an amazing one of laughter, connections, and creative appreciation!
