Elegant Vintage Colorado Wedding ~ Kirsty and Sean’s Canon City “I Do’s”
I have to give a great shout out to The Big Fake Wedding for this one, as it is how I met this beautiful couple! I have spent a lot of time dreaming up the kind of weddings I aspire to photograph. This wedding definitely fits right into that category. It was everything good in one. It was elegant, classy, and chic at the same time that it was cozy, simple, and relaxed. They held it in their very own families backyard with with awe-inspiring views, giant shady green trees, and cute little rustic barns. And it was so special – they actually spent months hand-making so many of their wedding’s details out of old barn and cedar wood, including the ceremony entrance doors, their ceremony’s alter, and the keg holders. So, before their actual wedding day, they spent a lot of quality time with each other and their families creating these unique little details, instead of separately planning them with other people. More than anything, I appreciated these two for calling their wedding a party. Without letting it become stress overload, their guests were in their best interest and they wanted to celebrate this beautiful summer day with the people who had all contributed to their happiness together. In my opinion, these things made up the perfect wedding. So congrats Kirsty and Sean!
